I really enjoy WWII books, I always have. However, I just realized the other day, as I was reading this book, that I have mostly focused on the European accounts, histories, and biographies of WWII. This was my first South Pacific/Japenese WWII book. It is incredible. Everyone needs to read this. Its a biography of a local Torrance man throughout his history, which happens to be a part of much of America's history. Its happy, its sad, its informative, its heartbreaking, but most of all, its very good.
This book was weird in a very, very sweet way.
