A fairly good exposition on the Old Testament references to Jesus, the Messiah. It's not to heavy, and somewhat engaging.

I kept waiting for this book to get interesting. I've finished it and am still waiting for that.

I picked and chose chapters of it that appealed to me and each one was creating drastic shifts in my perceptions and experiences but somehow the book failed to hold my interest for longer than 1 week. Perhaps I need a little more time to rest where I am before I am again drawn to return to it to continue my transformation.

Gabrielle Donnelly does a fine job with her premise, what would Jo March's great-great-grandaughters be like, if their American Mother married their British Father and brought them up in a nice neighborhood in London. The plot and family dynamics are fun, especially the personalities of and relationships between the three Atwater sisters. This is the book for you if you like your chick lit with a touch of light history.
