I liked this installment of the Flavia de Luce series less than the last two. For one, the solution to the mystery was really too apparent, and then the fussing, feuding sisters angle really started to get on my nerves. There a certain dead horses that Bradley can stop beating any time now for my tastes. Overall, it is a pleasant, though not fantastic mystery. And now a word about the editing - it was horribly edited. There were such blatant gaffes that I am almost embarrassed for the editor. Well, I would be if I wasn't too busy being annoyed.

** spoiler alert ** I loved this book and learning about the war. Guernsey sounds like an amazing place to live. I'm so glad Juliet didn't marry Mark, but Dawsey instead.
