The mystical things aren't really my interest but I did enjoy this book. There were several words I didn't understand that were in italics (old words) and to my disappointment there were no definitions in the book.

I really enjoyed this book. He does advocate barefoot shoes, which I'm still on the fence about, but I love what he says about the joy of running and the poetry of it.

First, let me say that I loved Chanda's Secrets. But I thought Chanda's Wars, its sequel, was very disappointing. Although both books are fictional, the themes in Chanda's Secrets are real. The war that takes place in Chanda's Wars is entirely fictional and to be quite honest seemed very fake sounding.
