I didn't get very far in this one. The author's tone turned me off, and I never mustered enough interest to pick it up again before it was due back to the library. Maybe another time.

Moran's previous novels about ancient Egypt are some of the best works of historical fiction I've read. Her most recent book was not up to her standards. It couldn't hold my attention for extended amounts of time. I just didn't enjoy this one.
