Sorry, Emily: I was never the biggest Kirsten fan. However, I think this has more to do with the fact that I though Laura Ingalls Wilder was a sap, and they had that whole prairie thing in common. I liked the older sister, and was for some reason super excited that her name was Lisbeth.

This book is corny a lot of the time, but there is a good discussion started here about gender issues. The writing is sometimes fun, sometimes froo-froo. But I learned a lot and was inspired and moved quite a bit. The best book of its kind that I have seen.

I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. When I picked it up on a whim at the library, the title sounded fun, and the author was Leonard Nimoy's son...it sounded like it could be interesting. And it was. He writes a very honest and touching "memoir" about his way out of drug addiction and the how his relationships have changed for the better as a result of not being stoned all the time. Not all that suprising of a conclusion, but the ride to that conclusion was definitely worth my reading time.
