I enjoyed The Devil You Know after picking it up on a lark based only on the fact that I have read and liked a lot of Carey's comic works. So, when I saw a sequel was coming out, I made sure to make a special trip to pick it up. I read it straight through without stopping and...it was very good! I guess I shouldn't be shocked, but the story was well written, the main character was likable and interesting, and even the side characters were well thought out and represented. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes writers in the vein of Jim Butcher and Charlie Huston.
