What I learned from this book is that romantic people come in all shapes and sizes and ethnicities. I love Oscar Wao, and will never forget him and his brief tragic life. I also learned a lot about the Domincan Republic. I identified with Oscar and his nerdy isolated life, his failures and his richness.
