Thank you Tess Gerritsen for making The Silent Girl ten times better than Ice Cold was. It still didn’t hold a candle to the first few books in the series, but it was head and shoulders better than the last book. The mystery was interesting and Jane Rizzoli can carry a book far better than Maura Isles. It was also nice to see into Barry Frost a little more. Although I didn’t like Ice Cold, I did like that threads of that story were incorporated into The Silent Girl and that Rat was helpful in finding clues to help Maura solve the mystery. As far as suspenseful mysteries go, this was decent and could be entertaining to anyone who has never read any of the Rizzoli and Isles books. I even recommend it to anyone who has read the previous books especially if they read Ice Cold.
