4/1/09: Couldn't get through this when I tried to read it a couple of years ago, now trying the audiobook! 6/11/09: Ok, I give up on the audiobook too. This book is not terrible, it just drags in so many places and shoots itself in the foot with the flowery language. I'm still waiting to meet a teenager who read this whole thing and loved it.

As if this world needs more sad stories to tell ! He is a good writer , the way he describes things are awsome , but its too sad and theres no hope in it thats why i gave two stars only! One thing i really hated abt this novel that he didnt mention that Taliban's acts is not acts of muslims and he just labeld his cruilty & terrisom with the name of islam, when in reality islam seeks peace all around the world and rejects this violence over both genders & resepcts women's rights .
