While I can't agree with all of McKee's assumptions when it comes to the "right" way to write a screenplay, his thoughts on the theory of storytelling and stories in general are great to read. Buy the book for the beat for beat breakdown of Casablanca, the theories on Story, and other fantastic references to movies through the ages. Don't buy it to learn the style of screenwriting, or to learn how to write an AntiPlot or MultiPlot screenplay. ;)
