I read this book while traveling through Croatia and probably wouldn't have stuck with it if it weren't the only thing I had to read. The first 100 pages nothing really exciting happened. Then it got really good. I've been to Africa and I love the explanations of the African mentality. The writing was beautiful, however got a bit tiresome towards the end.
