I loved these short stories. Some of them are "coming of age" stories and it's amazing how universal some of the themes are. The characters are all Panamanian and they struggle with relationships in romance and within their families. I enjoyed every narrator and was immersed in each one's story. The writing is poetic and there were parts that literally had me holding my breath! Also, when you finish the whole book, you realize how the author wove a string through all of the stories, very subtly connecting them. I encourage everyone to read this book.
