I first read this book at the age of nine and read if over-and-over until I hit puberty. An absolute must-read book for any preteen girl. It definitely helped me through that challenging, confusing time in my life. (when I read it it had the purple cover, with Margaret wearing the orange 1970's shirt :))
I know there were some interesting thoughts/points/ideas/arguments and whatnot in here, but I'm having trouble remembering any of them. I just had tremendous difficulty in paying any attention to this book. I'm certain I can't do this book justice in my review since I hardly feel as if I've read it, yet I also don't feel like I'll ever have to motivation to try again. Oh well, it is what it is. I recommend reading The Great Divorce by Lewis instead. That one was very interesting.
