I laughed so hard during one of the stories that I was embarassed. I think I cried too. So funny! The end was a little far fetched but overall a really good fun read. I read it in one sitting.
The Penderwicks are a special family and my daughters and I were sad to say goodbye to them at the end of the book... But with a new one coming out soon, I guess we don't have to.
I liked Breathing Underwater better. It took longer in this book for the main character to "transform," so I didn't care about him or his story for a while. Also, I wish that I would've reread a classic telling of Beauty and the Beast first. I have always loved this fairy tale, but didn't remember many of the details. As different things happened, I found that I was orienting myself by the Disney (!) movie. Reading this makes me want to reread Robin McKinley's Beauty.
