This book came recommended, but it's really not my style. A studly ex-FBI agent, and attractive assistant director, and a convoluted plot that never really grabbed me. Usually I'll put up with all that if you throw in some exotic locales and a little adventure, but this all took place in the grubbier parts of Los Angeles. Meh.
