i loved this book about 2/3rds of the time i was reading it. the other 1/3 i just kept reading. the premise is really fun and informative, and especially at the beginning bill buford is uproariously funny. it lost some steam as it went on, but i was still pretty satisfied with it on the whole, mostly because of the kitchen insight i gained.

Participation: Old couple dicedes to get a pet, but end up with too many cats to take care of.
