This book has turned into one of my top books of all time. I feel that Nick Hornby is truly a genius, accurately portraying each situation to its best! Before reading this book, in the spring, I had seen the movie during my summer of 2010. I loved the whole concept of the movie with John Cusack, and when I found out that it was based off of a book, I wasn't surprised, but quite thrilled. Jumping at the chance to read this book, I feel that I can strongly relate to how the main character of this book was treated, and how he treated others in his life. The whole theme of the book was centered around some random joe, who was trying to get over the relationship that he just came out of. He was trying to get over the girl in a rather nostalgic way, by remembering other girls in his past. The author built up much sympathy, until at about halfway, where, the reader finds out that he deserved the break up. I feel that this was when this man's story got a whole lot more complex then expected. Nick Hornby writes in such a style that is addictive, witty, and even a bit jerky in an appealing sort of way. In any case, I greatly enjoyed this book, and expect to read it one hundred times over in the future.
