Great book! I liked this book very much. It was a very easy, informative read, even though it is touted as a business book. I highly recommend it to anyone.
This is a very moving book, especially given the setting in Paris and environs of France during WWII. This books is only 2/5 finished given the heart breaking story of Irene Nemirovsky and her family during the holocaust. A moving story and I would have liked to have seen the book played out in full.
One of the better books I've read in the last couple of years. Very moving, raw, and intense. I learned about the political upheaval in Afghanistan and the Afghani culture. It was interesting to follow the character from a war-torn country to life in the Bay Area.
merges religious studies and postcolonial theory to interrogate the politics and subversions of colonial conversion.
