Maybe I'm a little more picky the second time around when it comes to reading a book, but I didn't like this book as much as I did the first time and so I have lowered my rating one star (I would give it 3 and a half stars if I could). The development of the magic system by Brandon is, as always, well thought-out, inventive, and interesting. The story is engaging enough to keep you reading all the way to the end and I still like it pretty well. There are a few characters that I absolutely love--Nightblood the innocent awakened sword that destroys evil, but I did found some of the characters to be a little annoying and repetitive. I found myself on multiple occasions skipping whole sections of endless banter by the frivolous gods and mercenaries. I would still recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading Brandon Sanderson, but I place it slightly lower than the other amazing works by Brandon. Happy reading!
I hate this book.
