A wonderful read. I was so impressed at how the author handled her extraordinary financial loss. Saved many quotes to help me in my life.......not just with losses, but just with life!
This is technically a book of short stories, but it is based on O'Brien's real-life experiences in Vietnam. It is gorgeously written, honest, raw, painful, exhilerating. It is about love and death, like all literature, but it is so in-your-face, so elemental, that its intensity rocks you to the core. I especially like his questioning throughout the book, what is real? What is true?
