One reviewer actually thinks this author is a modern day Jane Austen? I think not. I was really disappointed by this book. I expected much more after reading all the reviews. A slow read with LOTS of minutia and not much plot advancement. It did pick up somewhat around page 300 (of 355), but even that was short-lived; then it went back to boring!

Uses its biblical setting to great effect. A great read!
