A really cute story with some humor and environmental facts tossed in for good measure.

This has been on my "needs must read" list for a while and a friend dumped some old books my way and this was one of them. I never saw the movie because I knew I wanted to read it first. Glad I did. Tough. Brutal. Grim. But I liked it. A lot. A quick read too once you figured out the language (it took me a few chapters until I realized there was a glossary in the back for all the new lingo being tossed at me). Once I stopped flipping back and forth and could settle into the world, I devoured it. Again, it is really one of the more disturbing books I've read and isn't one that gives much hope but even with that I found myself riveted. It took me a while to finally get to it, but I read it and now I can see the movie. Ugh. All in good time.
