I took a quick look at the other reviews, and most of them think this is one of the best books on the Maggie O'Dell series, but I'm afraid I don't quite agree with them. The theme is quite interesting and it's a nice "change of scenery" to have the main character locked in a room for the most part of the book, but then it all seems a bit disoriented, I didn't find the book fast paced, and even though the mystery is there - we want to know who the bad guy is, and if more people will get infected and/or will die - I just felt too much time was lost with unimportant subjects. And, sincerely, I just can't stand the Maggie/Nick situation. I was always all in favor of their relationship and found it funny and endearing at the same time, but in this book it just seems forced. Either there is something there or there isn't, and please move on! Anyway, it is a good book and keeps you interested - most of the time :)
