It is SO good! Sad, crazy, and leaves you with more questions than answers about America and everything that happened during Katrina -- how? why? and who could have stood up and said no at any point in this process? and what are acts of courage? Somehow, it was only last week that I was - for the first time - talking to a woman about Katrina about really her day to day experiences in evacuation. Any person's story about the experience would be a lot to read about, but a true story told by Dave Eggers, and one about a family of a Syrian immigrant and a Louisianan convert to Islam... A lot of fascinating stuff going on, all at once.

This book was amazing!! My only disappointment was that it wasn't long enough. Normally, David McCoullough's books are nice and lengthy and so detailed, I was shocked and disappointed not to see the entire life of TR told in this book.
