Claire the librarian recommended this book to me. I really enjoyed it because i love fantasy and aquatic sea life. Lost voices was a gripping tale about mistreated girls who become mermaids. I personally loved Caterina (the leader of the mermaid tribe) as a character she was fierce vibrant and intelligent. But what i liked most about Caterina was that she had backbone. It seamed like she wasn't scared of anything and she wouldn't let anyone tell her what to do or who to be. But most of all she had a beautiful voice that took to the wind and brought peace and comfort to the mind of the readers.

Highly recommened for anyone in the mental health field.
