The reason I gave this book three stars, rather than a higher score was because of it's density. It was an excellent book, and I understand now why people consider it one of the best novels ever written. But, for me, it was so long and so dense, and I often found myself not knowing what was going on, and just glossing over the words and sentences and not processing the content. But, what I did understand was very interesting and the descriptions were so fascinating and vivid. I feel like this is the kind of book that I will return to as I get older and enjoy it much more then.
