Wow. This play makes me want to be a Shakespeare scholar. This is simply the best Shakespeare play I have ever read. Don't get me wrong here, if you don't like Shakespeare, you will hate this... but if you are a fan of the bard, read it. Instantly. The Armin fool has some of the best lines he has ever had, and Lear's temper and reversal, plus his speech at the end, are paralyzingly good.

I read this in Elementary school. I cried. This book really affected me as a boy.

I fell in love with this book somewhere around the opening paragraph. It is incrediably well written both in terms of plot development and style. It tells a very moving story about the horrors of war but also the horrors and brilliance of human beings.

This book was o.k because I did enjoy reading it.
