Actually couldn't finish this book, because it was so depressing. Reviews the treatment of Africans in the US - and their descendents - from earliest colonial days to the present. Prepare to be shocked and amazed at the cruelty, disdain, and hypocrisy of white "physicians" and their slave-owner friends, but perhaps even more shocked by present-day researchers who have abused both the trust and the bodies of people they deem less than they. Made me very ashamed to be white, actually.
