Typical Krentz, which I like reading. I like the paranormal twist to her books. I feel she balances the romance with the mystery well, and her pacing is quite good (okay, so I kind of hate that the characters are 'in love' after forty-eight hours, but it's fiction); she doesn't bog her writing down with unnecessary descriptions like I find is the issue with Karen Robards' romantic-supenses. The only big issue I had with this book was the scene in which (view spoiler) All in all, not my favourite Krentz book, but a strong, enjoyable read for me nonetheless.
All I can say is read this when you have alot of time, you won't put it down!
