A great impulse buy by Brendan (who still hasn't ready it, for crissakes). According to the jacket, it's: A novel of fierce intelligence and velocity; a bravura performance from a writer of consummate skill and style. Barf. Do publishers really think this kind of drivel actually gets people interested and not nauseated?! I'm glad I didn't read the jacket before starting the book, honestly. It's a very good book regardless, though I was mildly disappointed by the ending. I don't read very many new titles but this one helped me to be more adventurous at the bookstore.
