This book tells the tale and adventures of a boy named Misha Pilsudski. He lives with his friend, Uri, and he steals bread for himself, Uri, the orphans, and Janina, a 6-year old girl he met up. He realizes later that he had to run away from the Nazi, a.k.a. Jackboots. They were a group of people who tortured and sometime even killed Jews. Misha and Janina is now running away from the Jackboots... and Misha Pilsudski realizes that even Uri is a Jackboot!

خوب بود

I don't think this book was as good as the Kite Runner, but nonetheless it was a great book in it's own right. Describing a true way of life that I don't think most people could handle, let alone realize is actually happening in this world. A book about a woman's tremendous strength to survive.

My boys thought this was really funny and read it over and over.
