Reviewed by Tasha for TeensReadToo.com After defeating Lord Electrocucius, Buggy has become a Warrior for the Greater Good of Mankind - picking up where she last left off and ready for another adventure. Now Buggy and her brother, Frank, have discovered a theory presented by two very prestigious scientists, Cedar and Cypress Deadwood. This theory states that if one of the Gateways to the Nexus is opened (like it was in her previous adventure), the universe would become unbalanced and chaos would erupt. With the help of her best friends, Sid and Veronica, Buggy deciphers messages, and goes on an adventure to face enemies far worse then any she has met in the past. Fuelled by curiosity and her wild sense of adventure, she embarks on another journey to save the world. Overall, this was a good book. The plot was very interesting and the characters were well-developed. I didn't enjoy it as much as the first book in the series, BUGGY CRENSHAW AND THE BUNGLER'S PARADOX, but it was still good. It took a long time for me to get into the story, but once I got about 100 pages in, it started to pick up and was quite enjoyable. This is a good book (and series) for younger teens, as it really stimulates the imagination.

he's almost as funny in print as on the radio, and I swear I can hear his slightly-lispy hint of a Canadian accent while I'm reading...

wow. WOW. that was my reaction throughout the entire last chapter and upon finishing lullaby. it is indeed a page turner, but you will often find yourself grimacing, plagued with indecision regarding whether or not you should actually turn the page. well, you get over the indecision quickly, and honestly, it's not extremely vulgar or disgusting, but in fact necessary in describing our society today. wonderful themes of noise vs. quiet, advertising, family, and social conditioning, along with woven-in commentary on how humans, throughout history, have been responsible for the problems we face today are strung throughout the book, resurfacing in only the most appropriate times to make a lasting impact. so yeah, you should read it.
