This is my first book by this author and I really liked it. The story set up reminded me a bit of Ender's Game (which was fine, I love that book (if not the odious statements made by OSC)) I thought the characterization was well done for the most part with only a couple of notable secondary 'types' right out of central casting. While sexual aspect while a little far-fetch, it worked within the world building. Lots of good angsty emotion and very hot sex/love scenes. My one big quibble was one of the heros. I loved Ferron, but Chaz was starting to get on my nerves about 1/2 way through the book. Then he did something at the end that made me hate him. Kudos to illiciting such strong emotions from this reader during that segment of the story, but my dislike of the character kinda messed with my overall enjoyment. Still, I liked this book enough that I will be seeking out more of EA's work.
