Literary fiction meets Mystery. Don’t pigeon hole this one. It’s both, and it’s GREAT. I loved this book and will be reading his other work now. How about-- smart fiction. That works for me.

a grotesquely tragic and hilarious character study. Everyone is a sad, strange cartoon character. I was proctoring an SAT test while I read it, and kept laughing out loud. The dialogue is brilliant, and the author manages to skewer all kinds of people with a dark (but not mean spirited) humor.
