Not only was this a fun mystery, but it was jam-packed with cookie recipes. I tried two of them, one of which was a real hit with both myself and my family.

A marvellous narrative aimed at younger readers, however Philip Pullman has no qualms about hitting the harder theological subjects in this tale of an alternative universe parallel to our own. A very enjoyable read with marvellous characters, I particularly enjoyed reading about Lyra as she is a very charismatic young heroine.
