This series just keeps getting better and better! I loved seeing this ghostly side of Harry. This book was all about reliving past choices and realizing and seeing their consequences. Harry's inability to perform magic or to interact with the material world forces him to slow down and think about the decisions he's made and how their effects have rippled out and touched the lives of so many. In a life or death situation it's easy to think your choices are so black and white, do or die, all or nothing. It's hard to step back in the heat of the moment and think "is this really my only choice? how will this choice effect the people around me, the people I love?" Harry learns these lessons first hand as he witnesses the aftermath of his choices from his spectral form. This book had great character development and I'm excited to find out what happens next and how this will change Harry's actions in the future! (view spoiler)

Really simple and beautiful with great insights into Chinese culture of the time. It reminded me of home and I don't know if it's becuase the author was born in WV (and I passed her homestead on the way to Susan's camp) or because the characters have a similar relation to the earth that Appalachians have. Regardless, it was lovely.

It tells me a lot about the zoo animals. It tells me a lot about their sounds. I like all the pictures and like that it tells me that the elephant takes baths. But, in real life, their parents give their babies baths. It was really short.
