From the jacket description of this book, you would think it is all mushy romance. But having read other books by Karen Marie Moning, I know there is always more to her stories. A very interesting premise, the main character Adrienne de Simone is whisked out of her contemporary life in 1997 Seattle to Scotland in the year 1513. She is being used by an angry fairy to teach a mortal man a lesson. Yes the man is handsome, sexy, powerful so there is that. But I did like to imagine how a modern day woman would react to being placed in an era with no running water, electricity, coffee makers or the right to speak her mind. A fun escape.
