It was like making friends with someone from the past. An intimate look at her life in poverty in the big city. I cheered for her every step of the way as she grew up in these pages. Endearing. I'll miss Francie (Betty Smith) and her family.
This is definitely a good book for those who wants to truly grow in faith and in life. Many will take for granted this book and the wisdom that it contains. It is a well thought out book, the ideas are simple yet profound. Not a good book for those who are in the stage of their life where they believe they can grow themselves. Humility and desperate need for spiritual & emotion growth is the key here.
Funny and delicious!
Probably my favorite book of all time
I read this in one day. It was entertaining and kept my attention but I didn't find it amazing or anything.
