An easy read. While lacking in any insights into humanity or any important thoughts, it is still just....well.....fun. Give it a chance, just for a break from complicated books. It is a well-written, blood-caked, action-packed, easy to pick up and read accompaniment to the great game. I do suggest you read the first one, The Fall of Reach, before this one. By the way, here is the order of the books: The Fall of Reach, The Flood, First Strike, Ghosts of Onyx. It's not like it's imperative to read them in order, I just suggest it.

One of my favorites from this author. Couldn't put it down once I started...great suspense!

philosophical, funny, and easy to read. once in a while he would say something in this book that made me say out loud, kurt vonnegut is a genius. not every moment was like that, but i'll give it 5 stars just for those times.
