This book is the beginning of what I could term the end; if I wasn't dedicated to reading all 12 books I should have ended it around here. By this point, if I recall correctly, so many characters and asinine plot devices have been introduced that it's almost necessary to paint the walls with post-it notes so that you can remember who the hell you're reading about. Uninspired, Ran Al'Thor might have killed someone; probably not, though. Asinine.
