I didn't like this book because I am from Kansas and I know members of this family. They say the facts were far from the truth and that the victims were not characterized as they really were. Truman Capote was too sympathetic to the cold blooded murderers and became friends with them, while the victim's family was left to mourn the deaths of their loved ones. I am thankful for the death penalty in this case because the family never had to worry about them getting out on parole.
