Ronson'un sesini seviyorum. Bilgilendirici ve gündelik mükemmel bir karışım. Kitabın tadını çıkardım ve şimdi yazarın daha fazlasını okumakla ilgileniyorum.
Unbelievable story of survival and heroism.
hmm, i don't know about this one. it was a little pitchy in spots. oh my god. i will never use american idol talk again in a book review. my apologies! i thought the alchemist was a nice story... easy to read, enjoyable, meaningful message. but it really didn't go that extra mile for me. there was a lack of character depth and the end of the book contradicted itself. two of the main messages in the book are to live in the present and to go after your 'personal legend.' alright, sounds great! but when santiago and fatima meet, he goes off searching for his treasure while she stays at the oasis and pines for his return. her home "would be an empty place for her," while the boy was away. come on. is it really a women's personal legend to be miserable while her man is away? i don't buy it senor coelho.
Cutsie and quaint but a bit boring.
First, the good: this book is little so you don't have to suffer through too much. The bad: yawn, yawn, boring, boring, stupid plot, stupid details, yawn, boring, blah. Man, I feel kinda bad but it's the truth. I also tried listening to the book on CD, as read by Martin himself, but I realized how much I disliked the book. I still listened to all of it. Man, am I a glutton for punishment.
