One of my favorite books! The beloved Bilbo will always stay with me. :-)
Oh, this was a really great book, loved rereading it, and reading about Faythe and Marc and yeah, really good! *First read November 17th, 20111 Really great book! Really enjoyed reading it, can't wait for more! Must read the next 5 books!!!
I found myself often comparing this book to Twilight as I was reading, which probably made me like it more by comparison. There were some similar themes, like the inter-species attraction (which sounds disgusting when you type it out) and the self-deprecating nature of the narrator. However, I admired Wanda much more than Bella, as her self-deprecating nature was more self-sacrificing than it was a result of poor self-esteem, and I think this made me root for her more and feel more invested in her story. The premise of the book was intriguing and clever, although the writing style seemed weak at points. Though the book was long, the pacing was good; the end of each chapter left me eagerly turning the page to see what would happen next. Somehow, despite how unrealistic the premise was, the story felt relatable, which is- at the end of the day- what we all look for in a good book.
