It's hard to believe this book is based on a war that took place less then 20 years ago. How do these crimes of humanity still happen in this day and age. It was a solid read and I enjoyed the characters - would have maybe liked to hear more from the cellists point of view. He was instrumental (pun intended) in changing the situation of war emotionally.
