Sandra Dallas' first book, this was not one of my favorites. However, I do like the way she builds her characters, they seem like real people, someone you know that lives down the street . . . This book centers around the friendship of "The Unholy Three," Effa Commander, Whippie Bird and Mayanna Kovaks, who becomes a famous actress named Marion Street. It centers on their lives growing up together in Butte, Montana and Marion's rise from being a hooker to Hollywood stardom.
