Joel makes fun of me for reading this stuff but I'm wildly entertained by witty puns, both good and bad. Jasper Fforde's novels overflow with these (some might say ad nauseam).

Little White Rabbit's head is full of questions and wonders about many things. As he travels along he imagines what his life would be like in many different situations. The art work in this book is beautiful. The story line is great for younger students with its repeated patterning of the text. I really enjoy how they have gone from a one page image and text, to a full page of image. It would be a fun book for younger students.

Ok, so I did read another one. I really enjoy this author's nine kingdom series, but again, this one read more like a romance. Fortunately a pretty clean one, and not as much of a soap opera as the previous, which meant I was able to enjoy the historical fiction even more. But seriously, there were some pretty dumb decisions by the couple in love, and I'm not sure if a touch of the hand is really enough to knock me off my feet... Ok, so I'm not a huge romance buff, I suppose. And I felt like the author was stretching to put as much serious conflict in this book as in the last - so some kids teased you, why let that ruin your life & love? Not quite as earth-shattering stuff to deal w/ as their parents did in the last book. We'll see if I pick up the last two...
