The best Anne Holt I've read. Gripping and credible in a way that 1222 wasn't, even though both cover similar ground. The back stories of the central characters and their involvement in earlier cases are more fully and satisfactorily explained.The three women together are particularly convincing. The whole novel is tense and compulsive with some real shocks right up to the end.
