I was not able to like or feel sympathy for Celia, which made this a difficult read for me. Celia's mother was a bit too "June Cleaverish" for my tastes, and I'd have dumped the dope-smoking boyfriend. Goldberg's saving grace for me is her ablity to be insightful when she doesn't intend to be, in my opinion. I found this a ho-hum read.
