I was really looking forward to reading this because of a review I read on Daily Candy comparing it to Harry Potter & Lord of the Rings. Not so much. The stories were short and just when I was getting attached to a certain character, it would end. I understand that it was a compilation of short stories, but nothing was ever resolved by the end of them. I can see how the fantasy parts might be exciting at times, but then it was cut short. I kept getting emotionally involved with the characters just to have the page ripped out from under me. A disappointment. Definitely one I wish I hadn't rushed to the store to buy. A library pick if you ask me.
